Description

The Yocan UNI 4.0 Box Mod is the fourth generation of Yocan's universal 510 battery. It keeps the adjustable height slider and diameter dial the UNI line is known for, so it holds most 510-thread cartridges from 8mm to 14mm wide, and adds a 1.26-inch full-color TFT screen inside a see-through, cyber-industrial housing. It is also listed as the Yocan Uni 4 or UNI4.

Carts load on one of two included magnetic 510 adapters, one long and one short, then drop into the chamber. Output runs from 1.8V to 4.2V, a 10-second 1.8V preheat helps with thick oil, and the 650mAh battery recharges in about an hour over USB-C. The chamber tops out at 14mm wide, so very wide carts up to 16mm are a better match for the UNI 3.0.

FAQs

Will my cartridge fit? The UNI 4.0 fits 510-thread carts from 8mm to 14mm in diameter. The height slider raises or lowers the cart, and the long and short magnetic adapters handle different cart lengths.
How do I turn it on and off? Press the power button five times quickly to turn it on, and five times again to turn it off.
How do I change the voltage? With the device on, press the + or - button below the screen to set anywhere from 1.8V to 4.2V.
What does preheat do? Preheat warms the cart at 1.8V for 10 seconds, which loosens thick or cold oil so it wicks and vaporizes evenly.
How long does it take to charge? About 1 hour with the included USB Type-C cable. Yocan recommends removing the cart while charging so oil does not leak when the device is lying down.
Is a cartridge included? No. The UNI 4.0 is a battery only. Carts are sold separately.
How do I clean it? Remove the cart, power the device off, wipe the contacts with a cotton swab and wipe the body with a dry paper towel.

What a 510 battery is: 510 is the standard thread used by most oil cartridges. The battery powers the cart's coil, and the cart holds the oil.
Why voltage matters: Lower voltage gives cooler, more flavorful draws. Higher voltage gives warmer, denser vapor. Start low and step up.
Magnetic adapters: Screw the adapter onto the cart first, then drop the cart into the chamber. The magnet makes the connection.
Adjustable chamber: Turn the diameter dial counterclockwise to loosen the opening and clockwise to snug it around the cart.
Coil resistance: The UNI 4.0 works with carts rated above 0.8 ohms. The screen shows the resistance of the attached cart.
