Highlights

  • Disc Percolation System: First-of-its-kind disc perc filters and cools smoke for smoother, more powerful hits than a standard gravity bong.
  • Gravity Slide Function: The piston-style core slides down through the outer shell using gravity and water displacement to drive smoke into the chamber.
  • 100% Borosilicate Glass: Handmade from premium borosilicate — thermally resistant, durable, and easier to keep clean than acrylic alternatives.
  • Removable 14mm Slide: Standard 14mm connection works with any flower bowl in the MJ Arsenal lineup or aftermarket 14mm pieces.
  • Two-Piece Design: Glass shell and core separate completely for straightforward cleaning — no awkward angles or confined chambers to navigate.
  • Compact for Its Function: At 8.75" tall with bowl, it delivers full gravity bong performance in a tabletop-friendly footprint.

In the Box

  • Piston Glass Shell: The outer chamber that holds the water and guides the core through its stroke.
  • Piston Glass Core with Disc Perc: The inner piston piece — slides down through the shell to force smoke through the disc percolator and into your lungs.
  • 14mm Glass Slide: Standard 14mm flower bowl included — fits the joint and ready to use immediately.
  • Silicone Gasket: Creates an airtight seal between core and shell for a consistent, reliable draw.

Description

The MJ Arsenal Piston Gravity Bong is a handmade borosilicate glass water pipe built around a gravity-powered mechanism and a first-of-its-kind disc percolation system. The piston-shaped core slides down through the outer shell, using gravity and water displacement to pull a dense, filtered hit — a significant step up from traditional bucket-style gravity bongs.

Both pieces are made from premium borosilicate glass and separate completely, so cleaning is straightforward. A 14mm slide is included in the box, and the standard joint accepts any aftermarket 14mm bowl. Browse the full range of dry herb accessories to complete your setup.

FAQs

  • How does a gravity bong work? You fill the outer shell with water, pack the slide, and slowly lift the core upward. Negative pressure draws smoke into the chamber as the core rises. Remove the slide and push the core back down to inhale the collected smoke.
  • What makes the disc percolator different? Most gravity bongs have no filtration at all — smoke goes straight into the chamber. The Piston adds a disc perc at the base of the core, which breaks smoke into fine bubbles and filters it through water before it reaches the chamber.
  • What joint size does it use? 14mm. The included slide is 14mm, and it accepts any standard 14mm male bowl as a replacement or upgrade.
  • What's in the box? The glass shell, the glass core with disc perc, a 14mm glass slide, and a silicone gasket. Everything needed to use it immediately.
  • What is the silicone gasket for? It creates an airtight seal between the core and shell so the gravity mechanism works correctly. Without it, air leaks in and the draw becomes weak and inconsistent.
  • How do you clean it? The core and shell separate fully, so both can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol independently. The disc perc benefits from a pipe cleaner or syringe to clear the holes.
  • How tall is it? 8.75" with the bowl attached, 7.75" without. The shell is 3.5" wide.

  • What is a gravity bong? A gravity bong uses the weight of water (or a rising inner chamber) to create suction that pulls smoke into a container. It produces a denser, more concentrated hit than a standard pipe or bubbler.
  • What does a disc percolator do? A perc forces smoke through water for filtration. A disc perc is a flat disc with small holes — smoke passes through as fine bubbles, which increases the water-contact surface area, cooling and smoothing the hit.
  • What is borosilicate glass? A glass formulated to resist thermal shock — it handles rapid temperature changes without cracking. It's also chemically inert, so it won't affect flavor over time.
  • Is a gravity bong harder to use than a regular pipe? Slightly. There's a technique to pacing the lift and push. One or two sessions is usually enough to get comfortable with the rhythm.
  • How much water do I add? Enough to submerge the base of the core when fully lowered, but not so much that water floods into the core. Start with the shell about halfway full and adjust from there.
